My work examines various aspects of food matter. Through use of photography, I explore the way that something as familiar to everyone, like food, can actually appear quite strange and mysterious. Food can be extremely appealing or totally repulsive depending on its situation and context. By using a macro lens, the food becomes almost unidentifiable, creating mysterious images that could almost be anything.
