My work explores the relationship between painting and sculpture. The stitched canvases are an attempt to break away from the traditional methods of painting and move more towards creating three-dimensional 'objects' - crossing boundaries between painting and sculpture. Space, colour and composition are all aspects which interest me greatly and are important in emphasising the structure and form of these 'objects'.

They are made with stitched canvas that is stretched over a 50 mm deep wooden frame and then primed and painted using oils.
